Hi, I’m Dave.
I have worked in UX for more than 25 years, in healthcare, fintech and enterprise software. I have led design teams at seven companies, most recently as Head of Accessibility and Design Systems at GEP.
I started Becoming UX while I led the site team at FamilySearch. My summer interns at Ivanti each joined it. Since then I have mentored the designers on my teams, interns, accessibility testers and people switching into UX from other careers.
What I care about
- Research you can act on, not research that sits in a drawer.
- Accessibility from the first sketch. I am a DHS Trusted Tester and an IAAP member.
- Designers who can explain their decisions and bring their team along.
